DIRECTIONS

from Seattle & Bellingham, Washington

        • Get onto I-5 North
        • At the Canada/USA Border, I-5 becomes Highway 99
        • (If you take the Truck crossing at Douglas, proceed North and follow the signs to get onto Higway 99--about a mile North of the crossing you turn left and cross-over to 99)
        • Continue on 99 for approximately 20 minutes
        • After going through the George Massey Tunnel, you will be in Richmond, where Vancouver International Airport is located, continue North on 99
        • You will cross the North Arm of the Fraser River over the Oak Street Bridge (you went under the South Arm of the river through the tunnel)
        • On the North side of the Oak Street Bridge, you enter Vancouver and 99 becomes Oak Street
        • Continue on Oak Street for three lights--one full light, a pedestrian light, then another full one. This third light is PARK and has a delayed green light for making left turns.
        • TURN LEFT off OAK onto PARK
        • The next light on PARK is GRANVILLE STREET
        • TURN RIGHT ON GRANVILLE STREET
        • Continue along GRANVILLE for 7 lights, approximately 4 miles
        • You will cross over GRANVILLE ISLAND on the GRANVILLE STREET BRIDGE--and see downtown, the magnificent North Shore mountains and the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
        • At the second light on the other side of the GRANVILLE STREET BRIDGE, TURN LEFT on DAVIE STREET
        • Continue along DAVIE STREET--you are now heading West--for 7 blocks, until you come to BROUGHTON STREET
        • TURN RIGHT on BROUGHTON, then TURN LEFT on PENDRELL
        • PENDRELL SUITES is at 1419 Pendrell Street! YOU'RE HOME!

from Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

        • Hints: don't rent a car if you don't really need one! There is a great deal to see within easy walking distance of Pendrell Suites. You can always rent one downtown if you need one later!
            • Taxis are about CAD$30.00 - $35.00 to Pendrell Suites
            • Limos are about CAD$45+

        • Exit the car rental compound on Grant MaConachie Way--the airport freeway--and continue to the ARTHUR LAING BRIDGE
        • Move to the RIGHT HAND LANE going over the bridge and TAKE THE GRANVILLE STREET/CITY CENTRE EXIT
        • You will come off the bridge and be on GRANVILLE STREET
        • Continue along GRANVILLE for 12 lights, approximately 6 miles
        • You will cross over GRANVILLE ISLAND on the GRANVILLE STREET BRIDGE--and see downtown, the magnificent North Shore mountains and the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
        • At the second light on the other side of the GRANVILLE STREET BRIDGE, TURN LEFT on DAVIE STREET
        • Continue along DAVIE STREET--you are now heading West--for 7 blocks, until you come to BROUGHTON STREET
        • TURN RIGHT on BROUGHTON, then TURN LEFT on PENDRELL

DIRECTIONS

from the Trans-Canada Highway (401 a.k.a #1)

        • Assuming you are travelling Westbound on #1
        • Proceed right into Vancouver, passing through Coquitlam and Burnaby, after the Port Mann Bridge
        • Take the 1ST AVENUE EXIT, just after you pass the last exit for Burnaby
        • TURN LEFT on 1ST AVENUE
        • Follow 1ST AVENUE all the way downtown--you will see the SKY TRAIN (our subway system) tracks above you as you approach MAIN STREET
        • ONE BLOCK past MAIN, TURN RIGHT but stay in the left two lanes--the one on the right will take you into ChinaTown
        • You will pass General Motors Place (a.k.a. "The Garage"), home of the Vancouver Canucks and Grizzlies, then pass B.C. Place Stadium
        • Just after B.C. Place Stadium, the next lights are SMYTHE STREET
        • Continue on a slight "S" until you come to DAVIE STREET
        • TURN RIGHT ON DAVIE STREET
        • Continue along DAVIE STREET--you are now heading West--for 11 blocks, until you come to BROUGHTON STREET
        • TURN RIGHT on BROUGHTON, then TURN LEFT on PENDRELL
        • PENDRELL SUITES is at 1419 Pendrell Street! YOU'RE HOME!

from Whistler/Blackcomb and Horseshoe Bay Ferry from Nanaimo

        • Hints: You don't have to drive to Whistlter, you can take a train instead!

        • From Whistler/Blackcomb, take The Sea-To-Sky Highway South until it runs into Highway 99, just about where the people from the Horseshoe Bay Ferry terminal join
        • Continue on 99 (Upper Levels)--drive carefully--although the view of Vancouver is quite exciting--until you come to the Exit for TAYLOR WAY
        • TURN RIGHT ON TAYLOR WAY
        • Continue along for 3 lights, approximately 2 miles, passing PARK ROYAL SHOPPING CENTRE, and get in the second lane from the LEFT LANE (the both the leftmost and second lane can make a left turn)
        • TURN LEFT ON MARINE DRIVE, but then ensure you are in the right most two lanes after completing the turn
        • TAKE THE LION'S GATE BRIDGE into Vancouver, passing through STANLEY PARK
        • After passing through STANLEY PARK and just past Lost Lagoon, TURN RIGHT at the first set of lights, DENMAN STREET
        • Get in the LEFT LANE and TURN LEFT on ROBSON STREET, two blocks along DENMAN
        • THREE BLOCKS along ROBSON STREET, TURN RIGHT ON NICOLA STREET
        • Continue on NICOLA STREET for 5 blocks--or until you hit the mini-park--TURN LEFT ON PENDRELL

from Victoria, Butchart Gardens via Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen Ferry

        • Exit the Ferry at Tsawwassen (pronounced "two-awe-sun" or "sue-awe-sun") and follow the Highway and signs until you get to the Highway 99 Entrance--it is a cloverleaf and should be very obvious
        • Shortly, you will go through the George Massey Tunnel, and be in Richmond, where Vancouver International Airport is located, continue North on 99
